Guest Mode & Sync

You can start using monodit immediately without creating an account.

Guest Mode​

When you first visit monodit, you enter Guest Mode automatically.

In Guest Mode:

  • your workspace is saved locally
  • you can build and use real dashboards
  • you can use dashboard shortcuts and dashboard groups
  • you can use text-based data buckets
  • you can use up to 3 widget/theme imports combined

Guest Mode is designed to let you explore and actively use the product before signing in.

Signing in and cloud sync​

Once you sign in, your workspace can sync across devices through your account.

  • Free accounts sync workspace data
  • Pro accounts sync workspace data
  • Guest work stays local until you sign in

What changes by plan​

Compared with signed-in accounts:

  • Guest work is stored locally instead of in the cloud
  • Guest accounts cannot use asset buckets
  • Guest accounts cannot use the AI workspace assistant

Conflicts​

If local guest data and existing cloud data would overwrite each other, monodit can ask you which version to keep. This is designed to prevent accidental replacement of an existing synced workspace.
