Export & Import

monodit is designed to keep your workspace portable.

Self-service export​

You can export the following items directly:

  • Dashboard JSON
  • Custom widgets
  • Custom themes

Self-service import​

You can also import:

  • Dashboards
  • Widgets
  • Themes

Imported widgets and themes remain editable after import, so you can continue refining them inside your workspace.

Widgets and themes are imported as markdown-based files that package metadata together with source code.

Bucket data​

Bucket data import is not currently supported as a self-service feature.

Because bucket-backed data depends on the specific schema used by a widget, there is no single universal import format for all buckets.

Bucket data export may be available on request. If you need help exporting bucket data, contact support@monodit.com.
